Wilderness First Aid Certification - NOLS

The NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI) offers two-day course were you will be taught the medicine skills in remote places that you need to be able to act in case of an emergency. In two days, participants will learn the skills and abilities to take decisions in emergency situations. From the Patient Assessment System to traumatic, medical and environmental emergencies, you will experience a wide variety of topics designed to be trained to act in the event of an accident. This 16-hour course has a format of theoretical classes integrated with practical scenarios, case studies, role playing and rescue drills.

  1. Participants will learn medicine skills in remote places that they need to be able to act in case of an emergency.

  2. Participants will learn the skills and abilities to take decisions in emergency situations

  3. Participants will receive a Wilderness First Aid certification from WMI/NOLS valid for two years

  5. Head traumas

  7. Athletic wounds

  8. Fracture management

  9. Dislocations

  10. Cold diseases

  11. Heat illnesses

  12. Thunderstorms

  13. Medical considerations

  14. Anaphylaxis

  15. First Aid Kit

  16. SOAP
